Enterprise AI services company People and Technology Co., Ltd. (CEO: Hong Seong-pyo, Lim Jin-soon) announced on the 27th that it has successfully secured the ‘Smart Hospital Model Implementation and Construction Project’ for Yeongwol Medical Center in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province.
The ‘Smart Hospital Model Implementation and Construction Project’ aims to restore the functions of public hospitals, which were designated as dedicated COVID-19 hospitals during the pandemic, and further introduce digital, automated, and cutting-edge systems to minimize treatment gaps for local patients and reduce the burden on medical staff. The goal is to enhance healthcare quality and patient satisfaction, while positioning the ‘regional public hospital’ as a leader in ‘smart public healthcare.’
To achieve this, People and Technology will focus on building a real-time asset location and management system, including medical equipment, based on its IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) service platform, “IndoorPlus+ Smart Care.” The company will also implement an automation system for inpatient nursing tasks, such as monitoring IV infusion status and linking vital signs data with EMRs.
With this project, various hospital tasks that were previously handled manually will be automated. The real-time hospital operation and patient care data collected will be used to improve smart nursing tasks and patient care, ultimately enhancing healthcare quality and strengthening the competitive edge of public hospitals.
A representative from People and Technology stated, “As the developer of the IoMT solution ‘IndoorPlus+ Smart Care,’ we will leverage our expert technical team and extensive experience in hospital projects to ensure a successful service launch and stable operation by December 2023.”
The representative further added, “Given the rapid global digital transformation, transitioning to smart hospitals is urgent to promote public health and provide better healthcare services. This project will help expand smart hospitals in South Korea and collaborate on the development of digital healthcare solutions both domestically and internationally.”
