Seoul – November 13, 2025 –
Officially recognized as a priority procurement item for public institutions… establishing a foundation for deployment in local government control centers.

People & Technology (CEO: Sungpyo Hong) announced on the 6th that its AI CCTV model PNH-A9001, which incorporates patented on-device deep-learning vehicle detection and license plate recognition technology from the VisionPlus+ RoadAI lineup, has received EPC (Excellent Performance Certification) from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
The EPC system certifies products used in the public procurement market by evaluating their performance, technological differentiation, and suitability for public-sector applications. Certified products are recognized as priority procurement items for public institutions and can be used as credible quality documentation in future procurement and government projects.
The PNH-A9001 uses an on-device analytics approach, performing deep-learning vehicle and license plate recognition directly within the camera terminal itself. This allows immediate on-site detection and processing before video transmission occurs, offering advantages such as reduced network bandwidth and storage requirements, enhanced security by minimizing external transmission, and real-time alerting unaffected by video transmission delays.
Product performance was validated by a KOLAS-accredited testing laboratory, confirming recognition accuracy and operational stability across various road and lighting conditions, including day and night.
The device also integrates patented technology (Patent No. 10-2734978: “Multi-lane Vehicle License Plate Recognition System”), enabling consistent recognition performance even in environments with multiple lanes and intersecting roads.
People & Technology already has extensive experience deploying on-device video surveillance solutions in various local governments including Ulsan Ulju County, Busan Saha District, Namhae County, Sacheon City, and Hamyang County.
The newly obtained EPC certification adds institutional credibility and procurement accessibility to these existing deployment cases, strengthening the potential for adoption in public safety monitoring environments.
With the EPC certification, the PNH-A9001 is now officially designated as a priority procurement product for public institutions. People & Technology plans to further enhance product stability, improve compatibility with control systems, and expand real-world use cases in various operational environments.
CEO Hong said, “This certification is meaningful as it officially validates the technological reliability and public-sector applicability of our deep-learning vehicle recognition technology. We will continue delivering solutions that enhance public safety and improve real-time response capabilities.”
