People&Technology (PNT), a specialist provider of AI/DX-based smart hospital service platforms, announced that through a strategic partnership with Dong-A ST (CEO Jae-hoon Jung), it has deployed a real-time patient monitoring solution at Hallym Hospital (Hospital Director Young-ho Jung), a regional cancer center serving northern Incheon. This large-scale deployment spans 10 wards and the hemodialysis unit, covering a total of 415 beds.
Hallym Hospital treats a wide range of severe and critical patients, including cancer patients. With this deployment, the hospital can now monitor patient vital sign data across all 415 beds and the hemodialysis unit in real time on a single platform, enabling immediate response to changes in vital signs among cancer treatment patients as well as abnormal signs among hemodialysis patients.
The deployed solution collects key vital sign data — including ECG, heart rate, and oxygen saturation — in real time through the patch-type wearable ECG device "HiCardi" and the portable pulse oximeter "Nonin." The collected data is transmitted via an electronic nameplate, which serves as both a bedside information display and an IoMT gateway, to People&Technology's smart hospital platform, "IndoorPlus+ SmartCare," for integrated management.
- A plug-in gateway structure that enables quick and simple installation without any changes to existing hospital infrastructure
- Integrated monitoring that covers not only patients' vital sign data but also in-room location and movement information
- A vendor-neutral platform structure that is not tied to any specific manufacturer, allowing flexible expansion with a range of devices and systems as the hospital's operating environment evolves
Through this, medical staff can simultaneously track patients' condition, location, and movement, improving both ward operating efficiency and patient safety together.
