People&Technology (PNT), a specialist provider of AI/DX-based smart hospital service platforms, announced that through a strategic partnership with Dong-A ST, it has deployed a real-time patient monitoring solution at Yonsei-su Convalescent Hospital (Hospital Director Seong-su Park). This deployment spans Wards 3, 5, and 6 as well as the hemodialysis unit, with electronic nameplates and portable gateways operated in parallel — tailored to the characteristics of each care setting — to deliver a flexible smart hospital infrastructure.
Given the high proportion of elderly patients typical of a convalescent hospital, 24-hour monitoring of patient condition and rapid response to abnormal signs are especially important at Yonsei-su Convalescent Hospital. This deployment upgrades the hospital's inpatient safety management system and enables real-time tracking of vital signs for patients undergoing hemodialysis in the hemodialysis unit, allowing for immediate response to emergencies that may arise during treatment. It also establishes a stronger foundation for delivering more reliable healthcare services overall.
The deployed solution consists of the patch-type wearable ECG device "HiCardi," the portable pulse oximeter "Nonin," an electronic nameplate that serves as both a bedside information display and an IoMT gateway, and a portable gateway that can be flexibly used in settings requiring mobility. When patients wear HiCardi and Nonin, key vital sign data — including ECG, heart rate, and oxygen saturation — is collected in real time and transmitted, via either the electronic nameplate or the portable gateway, to People&Technology's smart hospital platform, "IndoorPlus+ SmartCare," for integrated management.
In the wards, electronic nameplates are used as IoMT gateways, achieving simplified installation and stronger system integration without the need for additional BLE scanner installations. In the hemodialysis unit and other settings requiring mobility, portable gateways are applied instead — delivering monitoring infrastructure optimized for each specific care setting.
