People and Technology Co., Ltd. (CEO: Hong Seong-pyo, Lim Jin-soon), an enterprise AI services company, has successfully secured the Smart Hospital Model Implementation Project at Sokcho Medical Center in Gangwon Province.
This project is part of the 5th Phase of the Regional Public Hospital Functional Reinforcement Project initiated in 2022. The project aims to restore the medical functions and public healthcare capabilities of regional public hospitals, which were designated as dedicated COVID-19 hospitals following the pandemic. The goal is to support the public healthcare system and enhance competitiveness through innovations in smart hospitals.
Starting with Daegu Medical Center in August, People and Technology has now secured a total of 10 hospital projects, including Daegu, Wonju, Andong, Gyeonggi Province (Pocheon, Paju, Suwon), Cheonan, Samcheok, Yeongwol, and Sokcho, solidifying its position as a leading company in South Korea's digital healthcare industry.
The scope of the project includes automating inpatient nursing tasks (such as IV infusion monitoring and linking vital signs data with the EMR system), utilizing kiosks for unmanned operations, and optimizing the flow of outpatient visitors using big data systems. The main objective is to improve hospital operations, introduce a smart hospital model for public hospitals, and provide a system to support medical staff and enhance efficiency.
People and Technology will use its IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) solution, IndoorPlus+ Smart Care, to maximize hospital operational efficiency through automation and digitalization. The company will provide an optimized smart outpatient system and the smart hospital model based on its experience and user-friendly interface.
Additionally, the company plans to integrate various functions with existing systems, providing real-world data based on its expertise to reduce treatment gaps for local patients, alleviate the burden on medical staff, and improve healthcare quality, ultimately laying the foundation for providing the best medical services.
A representative from People and Technology stated, “This project includes optimizing outpatient flow, introducing a smart hospital model for public hospitals, and implementing a system to support medical staff. We expect that this project will enhance healthcare quality, improve public hospital capacity, and help transform these hospitals into safer places for patients and more convenient for medical staff through the integration of ICT technologies.”
