Seoul – September 21, 2022 –
People and Technology Co., Ltd. has signed a contract with SNET to supply a worker safety management solution tailored for power plant industrial sites. This solution leverages Cordless RTLS (Real-Time Location System) technology to minimize power and network installation requirements, offering a cost-effective way to establish worker safety and location monitoring systems in confined spaces, as well as proximity collision prevention systems for heavy equipment.
Key Features of the Safety Management Solution
Confined Space Worker Safety Monitoring System
- Utilizes beacons, gas detectors, and smart bands to transmit information to BLE/LoRa portable tags.
- Data is relayed to a server via LoRa gateways.
- Enables real-time monitoring of workers' positions and environmental conditions.
Heavy Equipment Proximity Collision Prevention System
- Alerts heavy equipment operators and nearby workers when they approach hazardous zones.
- Transmits real-time position and worker data via LTE or LoRa networks, eliminating the need for additional network installations.
- Supports seamless indoor and outdoor safety management.
Cordless RTLS Features
- Monitors workers' locations and vital data (e.g., heart rate, body temperature, falls) in real time.
- Prevents accidents by enabling proactive responses to potential hazards.
- Provides administrators with immediate alerts for rapid emergency response.
Safety Manager Interface
- Identifies and tracks workers during emergencies to ensure safe evacuation and verify remaining personnel.
- SOS functionality allows workers in danger to send emergency signals and their location to the monitoring system for immediate assistance.
Significance of Biometric Monitoring
Biometric monitoring is critical in worker safety as it provides real-time data on vital signs, enabling early detection of health anomalies. This allows for preventive actions before accidents occur, significantly reducing the likelihood of injuries.
