Seoul – May 25, 2022 –
Leading IoT solution and data company People and Technology Co., Ltd. has signed a supply agreement with global semiconductor equipment and display manufacturing leader Jusung Engineering. The agreement includes the delivery of IoT-based hazardous material management and worker location tracking systems.
Hazardous Material Management
The new system will enable Jusung Engineering to:
- Monitor the status of hazardous materials, such as chemical gases, in real time.
- Compare actual inventory of hazardous raw materials against recorded data to improve inventory efficiency.
- Manage long-stored chemicals via a centralized dashboard and gain instant access to real-time inventory data.
The system integrates data collection infrastructure and signal-emitting devices (tags), offering users a seamless, intuitive interface for tracking hazardous materials and personnel.
Worker Location Tracking System
For enhanced safety and security, a location tracking system will be installed across Jusung Engineering’s headquarters and R&D center in Yongin. Key features include:
- Scanners and beacon-equipped ID badges for real-time personnel monitoring.
- Real-time tracking of visitors to ensure controlled access to restricted areas and bolster industrial security.
- Comprehensive monitoring of building entry and exit activity, enabling smarter building management and security.
The system plays a critical role in:
- Mitigating risks at hazardous worksites by ensuring quick response to emergencies through real-time worker location tracking.
- Facilitating prompt and efficient rescue operations during safety incidents.
Impact
The implementation of these systems elevates Jusung Engineering’s industrial safety standards while simultaneously improving operational efficiency.
Hong Sung-pyo, Co-CEO of People and Technology, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating:
“By integrating advanced IoT solutions into hazardous material and personnel management, we aim to set a benchmark for industrial safety and efficiency, paving the way for smarter, safer workplaces.”
