Maximizing Operational Efficiency with IoT-Based Smart Asset Management at Incheon International Airport
November 25, 2021 –
People & Technology, a leader in IoT solutions and data services, has been recognized for its IoT-based Smart Asset Management System, developed under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in May 2021 and now operational at Incheon International Airport. By maximizing the utilization, operation, and management efficiency of the airport’s vast indoor and outdoor assets, the system has earned top evaluations among Incheon Airport Corporation’s partner companies.
Exhibition Highlights
The company’s excellence in field operation and management earned it a dedicated booth at the 2021 Incheon Airport SKY Festival “GachiGachi” Exhibition, held on November 20–21. At the event, People & Technology showcased the technical, functional, and experiential value of its Smart IoT Asset Management System, emphasizing its philosophy that a clear understanding of diverse spatial environments is the first step in solving on-site challenges.
Key features of the system—usability, flexibility, and scalability—drew significant interest from visitors:
- Usability: Intuitive tools for tracking asset locations, preventing theft or loss, and monitoring asset utilization across Incheon Airport’s expansive indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Flexibility and Scalability: Custom-designed infrastructure and signal-emitting devices (tags) tailored to the unique environmental characteristics of the airport.
The booth attracted notable attention, including visits from Park Nam-chun, Mayor of Incheon (pictured center right), and Kim Kyung-wook, CEO of Incheon International Airport Corporation (pictured center left), who showed keen interest in the system’s functionality and value.
Future Opportunities
Through this exhibition, People & Technology highlighted the potential for replicating this Smart Airport model at other domestic airports. The event also underscored the strategic collaboration with Incheon International Airport as a leading smart airport and demonstrated the potential for exporting the company’s technology and service models to international airports, further unlocking additional value in the global market.
