People and Technology announced its participation in the Smart Hospital Pioneer Model Development Initiative, led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. PnT will supply its healthcare IoT solution, IndoorPlus+ SmartCare, to four out of five hospital consortiums, including the National Health Insurance Service Ilsan Hospital (NHIS Ilsan Hospital).
Building Tomorrow’s Hospitals
This initiative provides up to KRW 2 billion in funding for each of the five selected university hospitals, enabling the implementation and validation of smart hospital services. The goal is to establish effective models for future hospitals.
The designated smart hospitals include:
- Catholic University Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital
- Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center
- NHIS Ilsan Hospital
- Bundang Seoul National University Hospital
- Yongin Severance Hospital
PnT is actively collaborating with four of these consortiums to integrate its cutting-edge IoT solutions.
NHIS Ilsan Hospital: A Leader in Public Healthcare Innovation
NHIS Ilsan Hospital, officially naming PnT as its partner, was selected for its comprehensive project, SSaFE-Net (Smart Safe and Fast for Everyone in Network). This initiative builds on the hospital’s robust COVID-19 response experience and aims to create a network connecting local medical centers, nursing hospitals, public health centers, and NHIS branches.
Through IndoorPlus+ SmartCare and the Smart Infection Control System, NHIS Ilsan Hospital will:
- Monitor real-time patient movement within the hospital.
- Conduct immediate epidemiological investigations during outbreaks.
- Establish itself as a model public healthcare facility on the frontlines of infection control.
Expanding the Smart Hospital Model
The Smart Hospital Initiative aims to support three hospitals annually until 2025, creating 18 validated smart hospital models. These models will focus on:
- Enhancing patient safety.
- Improving diagnostic and caregiving efficiency.
- Strengthening infection control and management systems.
PnT plans to actively propose and supply its IndoorPlus+ SmartCare solution to subsequent projects, ensuring its contribution to transforming healthcare infrastructure across the country.
