People and Technology announced that it will supply its IndoorPlus+ Solution to the newly built Yongin Severance Hospital, South Korea’s first facility where outpatient care, surgeries, and admissions are all exclusively handled by specialized physicians.
Located in Giheung-gu, Yongin City, the hospital represents a significant investment of KRW 350 billion, spanning a 72,959㎡ site with a 13-story building (4 underground) and 755 beds, initially operating with 474 beds.
A Vision for a Smart, Digital Hospital
The IndoorPlus+ Solution aligns perfectly with the vision of Dr. Dong-Hoon Choi, the hospital’s director, who aims to implement an intelligent ICT solution that minimizes unnecessary administrative tasks for medical staff, allowing them to focus on patient care while maximizing patient safety.
By tracking the location of assets, patients, and staff, the solution:
- Reduces time spent by nurses and assistants on locating hospital assets.
- Minimizes patient wait times for treatments requiring hospital equipment.
- Enhances patient protection, including preventing wandering and locating missing patients.
- Tracks physician locations during emergencies, ensuring immediate response.
- Collects data on asset utilization, preventing theft, and optimizing asset placement and usage across wards.
