Enterprise AI service company, People and Technology Co., Ltd., is providing its IoT system ‘IndoorPlus+’ to the Republic of Korea Navy’s Ulsan-class FFX Batch-III ships 5 and 6, supporting the Navy’s smart ship operations. ‘IndoorPlus+’ offers various features such as crew member location tracking, fire detection, and health monitoring through BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) sensors, enhancing safety and operational efficiency aboard the ships by collecting and analyzing real-time data.

People and Technology’s ‘IndoorPlus+’ completes the wireless network system onboard, significantly improving both crew safety and operational efficiency. The BLE sensor-based crew location tracking system allows real-time monitoring of crew positions, enabling swift response in emergency situations. Additionally, the fire detection feature instantly identifies fires that may occur within the ship, minimizing risks, while the health monitoring function continuously manages the crew’s health, ensuring a safe environment on board.

Notably, ‘IndoorPlus+’ serves as an IoT platform that integrates real-time data from various devices included in this project, such as LTE and smart location systems. This platform allows centralized management of all data within the ship, supporting efficient data analysis and decision-making, and enhancing the overall smart operations of the ship.

This IoT system not only strengthens crew safety but also enables efficient ship management and operations. The real-time monitoring and analysis capabilities maximize operational efficiency aboard Navy vessels and play a key role in accelerating digital transformation.

A representative from People and Technology stated, “This project is a significant case of how advanced IoT technology can bring tangible changes to ship operations,” adding, “We will continue to lead digital innovation in the defense sector and contribute to realizing a smart Navy in the future.”
