Demonstrating the Power of Edge AI in Public Safety and Mobility
People and Technology took part in SECON 2025, Korea’s largest integrated security and safety exhibition, held from March 19 to 21 at KINTEX, Goyang. The company participated as part of the Hanwha Vision Win-Win Partnership Pavilion, showcasing advanced AI solutions tailored for real-time surveillance, public safety, and smart mobility.
This year’s SECON brought together 25,805 visitors across three days, with 410 companies and institutions exhibiting over 1,785 booths. The event also featured 116 expert sessions spread across 26 themed tracks, reflecting the rapidly evolving landscape of security, AI, and city-level digital transformation.

Our Showcased Solutions
At the event, People and Technology presented its flagship VisionPlus lineup, with live demonstrations and interactive displays across four key offerings:
-
VisionPlus Road AI (VPRA): AI edge camera designed for smart mobility and speed detection.
-
VisionPlus AI Portal (VPAP): Centralized server software for integrated monitoring.
-
VisionPlus Prima+ (Camera & AI Box versions): Offering privacy masking, behavioral detection, and real-time incident response.
Each solution was demonstrated using onsite or remotely connected hardware, enabling real-time previews through laptops and monitors, allowing visitors to experience the technology as it would operate in real-world settings.

Meaningful Engagement and Connections
Throughout the three-day event, the People and Technology booth welcomed 1,669 visitors, tracked via installed devices. The team also collected a total of 1,669 business contacts, including:
-
148 from local governments
-
76 from public institutions
-
62 from educational institutions
-
1,383 from private sector companies
The event served as a valuable platform to engage with potential clients and partners across the security, infrastructure, and municipal domains.
Key Insights from the Field
One of the most significant takeaways from SECON 2025 was the clear shift in market expectations. The application of AI in CCTV systems is now considered standard, not a differentiator. Visitors consistently expressed interest in solutions that offer on-device processing, eliminating the need for servers while maintaining high performance.
Many highlighted the value of features such as real-time privacy masking, even on recorded footage, as well as behavioral analytics and vehicle speed detection without radar. The ability to generate and use rich metadata for analysis and event tracking was also seen as a major advantage, especially for public sector clients managing complex monitoring environments.
Across the board, there was a strong demand for modular, scalable, and edge-based architectures that can be rapidly deployed without the need for extensive infrastructure investment. The market continues to seek solutions that combine cost-effectiveness with quick customization and consistent performance, especially as city agencies and safety departments face tighter budgets and rising expectations.
Moving Forward
SECON 2025 provided our team with a valuable opportunity to present our technology, connect with potential partners, and gather real-time user feedback. The insights gained during the exhibition will help us further refine our product roadmap and strengthen our value proposition in an increasingly competitive market.
We thank everyone who visited our booth, and we look forward to deepening our engagement with institutions and businesses looking to build safer, smarter environments powered by AI.
