People&Technology (CEO Hong Seong Pyo), an AX (AI Transformation) platform company, announced that it has built an AI-powered intelligent access and security management system at the Suwon Branch of Korea District Heating Corporation (KDHC), based on its 'IndoorPlus+ SmartSafe' platform, and is currently conducting a pilot run while refining its functions.
Building on the site's existing access control procedures, the new system digitally supports tasks such as visitor information registration, access approval, verification of access history, and management of related documents. In particular, once a visitor's information is registered at the security office, that data can be used across restricted areas without the need to repeatedly fill out separate handwritten logbooks for each zone, allowing access-related information and documents to be managed in an integrated way.
The system also registers and manages visitor information electronically, using that registered data to support the creation and management of access-related documents. This reduces the repetitive work that previously arose from manual, handwritten processes, allows visitor information and access-related records to be managed more consistently, and improves the convenience of reviewing access records and handling follow-up management.
Once a visitor has entered a restricted area, their access and stay information can be checked through the system, allowing operators to identify any unusual situations in real time. From the central control room, staff can monitor a visitor's location within restricted areas and confirm whether they are accompanied by an authorized escort in real time, enabling a swift response to any abnormal situation. Access history lookups and related document management can also be handled through the system, making it more convenient to retrieve and manage the access information needed.
This deployment is significant in that it applies digital technology - covering visitor registration, access history management, and related document management - on top of the existing access control framework at an energy facility, improving both convenience and operational efficiency. In particular, by consolidating access-related information that had previously been managed separately across multiple stages into a single platform, the system is expected to serve as a foundation for a more systematic access management environment.
