People and Technology (PnT), a leading Korean smart hospital platform company, announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Prince Sultan Military Medical City (PSMMC) and Riyadh-based healthcare technology company 4c-gate IT to collaborate on the digital transformation of hospital operations in Saudi Arabia.
The agreement marks a major milestone for PnT's expansion into the Middle East healthcare sector and lays the foundation for the deployment of integrated smart hospital solutions at one of Saudi Arabia's most prominent medical cities.
Located in Riyadh, PSMMC is one of the Kingdom's largest public medical complexes and operates under the Saudi Ministry of Defense. As a flagship medical city serving military personnel and civilians alike, PSMMC represents a strategic reference site for the future expansion of smart hospital technologies across Saudi Arabia's public healthcare sector.
The collaboration comes at a time when Saudi Arabia is accelerating large-scale healthcare modernization initiatives under Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program (HSTP). The country is actively investing in hospital digitalization, operational efficiency, patient experience improvement, and integrated healthcare data platforms.
Under the MOU, People and Technology and 4c-gate IT plan to jointly implement and validate several smart hospital services at PSMMC, leveraging PnT's IndoorPlus+ platform and 4c-gate's existing digital healthcare infrastructure already deployed in Saudi hospitals.
The project aims to demonstrate three core smart hospital services:
- Smart Ward services for inpatient units, including real-time patient and medical asset tracking as well as wearable-based patient vital signs monitoring
- Smart Outpatient services using indoor wayfinding technology to improve patient navigation and outpatient flow efficiency
- A Smart Hospital Command Center PoC integrating real-time operational and IoMT data for centralized hospital visibility and management
By utilizing existing hospital infrastructure and integrating proven Korean digital healthcare technologies, the project aims to establish a scalable and cost-efficient model for smart hospital transformation adapted to the Saudi healthcare environment.

The partnership with 4c-gate IT is particularly strategic due to the company's extensive experience implementing Patient Journey Management Systems (PjMS) in Saudi Arabia, including deployments across major hospitals and healthcare clusters. Through this collaboration, the consortium combines Korean smart hospital platform expertise with strong local operational execution capabilities in Riyadh.
PnT expects the PSMMC project to serve as a flagship reference for future expansion into additional Saudi public hospitals and medical cities. The company also views the initiative as a gateway to broader opportunities across the GCC and MENA regions, where demand for healthcare digitalization and operational optimization continues to grow rapidly.
The project is also aligned with Korea's broader efforts to promote digital healthcare exports and international collaboration between Korean technology providers and overseas healthcare institutions.
