Seoul – July 4, 2023 –
Enterprise AI service provider People and Technology Co., Ltd. (Co-CEOs Hong Sung-pyo and Lim Jin-soon) announced its participation as a collaborative research institution in the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Remote Medical Technology Development Project. The initiative focuses on developing and validating an RWE (Real-World Evidence)-based Triple All-in-One Intelligent Monitoring System for Respiratory Infectious Diseases for Medically Underserved Populations.
The project will run from April 2023 to December 2026, with Ilsan Hospital of the National Health Insurance Service serving as the lead institution. People and Technology will collaborate with Sky Labs to execute the project.
Project Highlights
The goal is to develop the world's first single wearable device capable of multi-biomarker monitoring, combined with a portable smart pad and platform to address challenges in wireless connectivity and home-based patient monitoring. This system is designed to be accessible even to digitally illiterate patients or those from medically underserved populations.
People and Technology’s Role
People and Technology will:
Develop Remote Patient Monitoring Systems:
- Integrate data collected from wearable devices using Bluetooth communication for comprehensive biomarker analysis.
Design All-in-One Patient Management Services for Home Treatment:
- Focus areas include tracking underlying conditions, activity monitoring, symptom management through self-measurement, medication adherence, and mental health support for respiratory infection patients in home treatment.
The system aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of home-based care.
Advanced Monitoring Features
The project’s innovative all-in-one wearable biomarker monitoring device and portable smart gateway offer an immediate and practical solution for respiratory infection management. These tools are designed for effortless adoption by patients, including those with limited digital skills, providing a robust platform for addressing infectious diseases like COVID-19.
Commitment to Public Health
A company representative noted,
