People and Technology Participates in Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Virtual Environment-Based Hospital Operations Technology Development

Seoul – June 13, 2023 –
Enterprise AI service company People and Technology Co., Ltd. (Co-CEOs Hong Sung-pyo and Lim Jin-soon) has announced its participation as a co-developer in the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s project titled “Development and Demonstration of a Patient-Centered Hospital Operations Optimization Model Using a Digital Twin Platform.” The initiative aims to advance hospital management efficiency using digital twin technology.
The project, which spans from April 2023 to December 2027, is led by Yonsei University Industry-University Cooperation Foundation as the principal organization. Other participants include People and Technology, Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital, DigitalMedic Co., Ltd., and Heliosense Co., Ltd.
Project Objectives and Context
In the post-COVID-19 era, the acceleration of digital transformation is reshaping data, processes, and decision-making across sectors. This project seeks to harness digital twin technology to address challenges that are difficult or impractical to solve in real-world settings by simulating solutions in a virtual digital twin hospital environment.
The initiative aims to:
- Improve hospital operations efficiency.
- Enhance Korea’s global competitiveness in healthcare technology.
Role of People and Technology
People and Technology will leverage its IndoorPlus+ SmartCare hospital digitalization solution to develop:
- Simulation solutions for outpatient flow optimization using the digital twin platform.
- Asset management systems tailored to various outpatient scenarios.
- Smart infection control systems based on the movement patterns of infectious patients.
Future Expansion
The project aims to commercialize virtual environment-based smart hospital platform services in several formats, including:
- Package solutions for hospitals and treatment centers.
- Subscription-based services for mid-sized hospitals and long-term care facilities.
