By monitoring the lifecycle of each device, the system will facilitate proactive maintenance, optimize asset utilization, and ensure timely disposal or servicing of equipment.

• The system enables real-time monitoring of equipment location by department, ward, or category.
• Provides data-driven insights to optimize equipment allocation and anticipate future needs.
• Tracks the most frequently used devices, aiding in efficient budget allocation for future purchases.

Automated Processes

• Transforms manual processes for inter-ward equipment borrowing and returns into a digital, automated workflow, minimizing confusion and improving handover accuracy.
• Enhances asset utilization rates through continuous monitoring and analysis, enabling effective redistribution.

Data-Driven Management

• Offers weekly and monthly asset utilization reports for data-driven decision-making.
• Establishes a digital framework for regular inspections, ensuring all devices are checked and maintained according to their lifecycle.

• The system’s 24/7 tracking capability reduces the risk of theft or loss, ensuring the protection of expensive medical equipment.

This initiative supports Ajou University Hospital’s role as part of the ‘Smart Hospital Leading Model Project’, a Korean New Deal program spearheaded by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.
