| Wearable-Based Real-Time Remote Patient Monitoring Reflecting the Characteristics of Integrated Western & Korean Medicine Care
Smart hospital solutions company People & Technology Inc. (CEO Hong Seong-pyo) announced that it is deploying a real-time remote patient monitoring solution at Haeoreum Korean Medicine Hospital, located in the Geomdan New Town area of Incheon and led by Hospital Director Roh Do-sik.

This deployment was 추진ed to reflect the hospital’s unique clinical environment, where Western and Korean medicine treatments are provided in an integrated manner. The core objective is to significantly enhance inpatient safety management while strengthening overall trust in medical services.
Haeoreum Korean Medicine Hospital continuously collects key biometric data—such as electrocardiogram (ECG) and heart rate—24 hours a day through the wearable ECG device HiCardi, which is worn by patients. The collected data is integrated with People & Technology’s smart hospital platform, IndoorPlus+ SmartCare, allowing medical staff to monitor patient conditions in real time via a centralized monitoring system.
In particular, even in an inpatient care environment centered on Korean medicine treatments, objective biometric signal data enables continuous monitoring of patient conditions. This provides a medical environment in which both patients and caregivers can place greater trust in the treatment process.
People & Technology’s real-time remote patient monitoring solution features:
-
Plug-in gateways that can be installed with minimal changes to existing hospital infrastructure
-
Integrated management of patient location and movement, in addition to biometric data
-
A platform-based architecture that supports expansion with various medical devices and hospital systems
Hospital Director Roh Do-sik of Haeoreum Korean Medicine Hospital stated,
“Given our hospital’s focus on integrated Western and Korean medicine care, we needed a system that could manage inpatient conditions in a more structured way. Through the adoption of the real-time remote patient monitoring solution, we expect to support clinical decision-making while simultaneously strengthening patient safety and trust.”
CEO Hong Seong-pyo of People & Technology added,
“By flexibly applying wearable devices tailored to each hospital’s characteristics, it is possible to build a real-time remote patient monitoring environment that is not limited to a specific department or treatment approach. Going forward, we will continue to support the development of patient-centered smart hospitals by expanding digital healthcare environments that integrate both Korean and Western medicine.”
