People and Technology Signs Final Agreement with Gachon University Gil Medical Center for Smart Hospital Pilot Project

Smart Hospitals: The Future is Now
Seoul – February 9, 2021 – People and Technology, a participant in the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Smart Hospital Pilot Project since October last year, announced the final agreement to supply its healthcare IoT (IoMT) solution, IndoorPlus+ SmartCare, to Gachon University Gil Medical Center.
Under this agreement, People and Technology will implement its specialized healthcare platform, IndoorPlus+ SmartCare, to provide asset management, as well as patient and staff location monitoring. Additionally, the mobile SDK version of IndoorPlus+ VESTIGO, an epidemiological investigation system launched in September 2020, will also be introduced as a new service.

Since its establishment in 1958 in Jung-gu, Incheon, Gachon University Gil Medical Center has achieved numerous milestones, including Korea’s first AI Cancer Center and the world’s first AI colonoscopy development. The hospital has played a pivotal role in regional cancer prevention and management. In 2014, it was named one of Korea’s top 10 research-oriented hospitals, ranking alongside Seoul National University Hospital and Severance Hospital.

Since participating in the Smart Hospital Pilot Project, People and Technology has focused on developing medical IoT platform services and deployment models tailored to hospital workflows over the past two quarters. The solution provided to Gachon University Gil Medical Center is expected to be fully implemented by the end of April.
