People & Technology (CEO: Seong-Pyo Hong), an AX platform specialist, announced that Mercury-X, the upgraded core big data processing engine of its real-time data and AI integrated platform IndoorPlus+, has officially demonstrated real-time data processing performance exceeding 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) through certification by the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA).

A company representative stated that this upgrade is part of the company’s strategy to further advance the IndoorPlus+ platform to ensure stable processing of large-scale data generated across diverse environments such as healthcare, industry, and defense. The representative added that Mercury-X is expected to be applied in a wide range of fields requiring low latency and high reliability, including smart factories, the defense industry, and disaster response systems.
The representative explained that Mercury-X is an upgraded version of the existing data processing engine, redesigned to meet the demands of real-time big data environments and optimized for handling sensor data from various wearable devices. In particular, it is designed to enable the real-time collection and analysis of large-scale biometric signal data generated by ECG-based wearable devices, in integration with partners such as Mezoo, ATSens, and Solmitech. The TTA performance test focused on evaluating whether the engine could reliably collect, analyze, and store massive volumes of real-time data generated by patient monitoring devices, wearable devices, and medical IoT sensors. As a result, Mercury-X demonstrated stable processing of over 10,000 TPS, with scalability confirmed up to 100,000 TPS.
In addition, Mercury-X provides essential capabilities for healthcare service innovation, including real-time data streaming processing, AI-based anomaly detection, secure encrypted data transmission, and scalability across both on-premise and cloud environments for large hospitals.
Kim Wan-Chul, CTO of People & Technology, commented, “Mercury-X is a core technology that elevates the real-time big data processing foundation of the IndoorPlus+ platform to the next level. In particular, our optimized integration with a wide range of ECG wearable device manufacturers will serve as a major competitive advantage in expanding the real-time remote patient monitoring market. In 2026, we plan to apply the advanced real-time big data processing technology based on Mercury-X to our platforms in the industrial and defense sectors as well.”
