On the 27th, at the “2025 Private-Led Open Innovation Performance Sharing Conference” held at the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center, Kim Seong-tae, Deputy CEO of People and Technology, presents the roadmap for the Smart Hospital AI Ecosystem.
Kim Seong-tae, Deputy CEO: “Global healthcare is shifting toward proactive prevention… We will set the standard for K-Smart Hospitals through real-time data connectivity.”
People and Technology (CEO Hong Seong-pyo), a leading smart hospital solutions provider, participated in the 2025 Private-Led Open Innovation Performance Sharing Conference held on the 27th at the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center. The company presented its open ecosystem strategy and roadmap for digital healthcare.
This event was part of the 2025 Private-Led Open Innovation program hosted by the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center. As a participating demand-side company, People and Technology shared the results of open innovation by introducing a collaboration model based on real-world testing with digital healthcare startups.

IndoorPlus+ SmartCare: Korea’s No.1 Smart Hospital Platform
During the conference, People and Technology showcased the core strategy behind its smart hospital platform, IndoorPlus+ SmartCare.
IndoorPlus+ SmartCare integrates a wide range of digital healthcare technologies and solutions needed for hospital operations into a single open ecosystem model. It is the No.1 smart hospital solution in Korea and is currently used by the largest number of major tertiary hospitals nationwide.
Interoperability as the Key Competitive Edge of Smart Hospitals
A key point highlighted in the presentation was interoperability, the ability for different systems and devices to connect and work seamlessly.
People and Technology is building a vendor-neutral ecosystem that can integrate various medical devices measuring key patient vitals such as:
-
ECG
-
Skin temperature
-
Blood pressure
-
Oxygen saturation (SpO₂)
This allows hospitals to manage all device-generated data safely and efficiently on a single unified platform—regardless of the device manufacturer.
AI-Driven Proactive Care: Med XAI Development in Progress
By linking real-time patient data with AI, People and Technology aims to analyze multiple vital signs simultaneously, predict clinical risk in advance, and lead the nationwide transition toward smart hospitals.
To achieve this, the company is actively developing Med XAI, an explainable medical AI technology.
Unlike conventional AI that only predicts deterioration, Med XAI provides clinicians with:
-
SHAP-based reasoning behind the prediction
-
Counterfactual explanations offering guidance on possible interventions
The technology is currently being co-developed and validated with Ilsan Hospital, and advancement efforts are accelerating.
“Real-time Digital Healthcare Ecosystem Will Become the Standard Model”
Kim Seong-tae, Deputy CEO of People and Technology, emphasized:
“Global healthcare paradigms are quickly shifting from reactive treatment to proactive prevention, and at the center of that shift is accurate and rapid real-time data collection and analysis.”
He added:
“We have already demonstrated our technological capabilities by deploying our smart hospital platform in numerous tertiary hospitals across Korea. Moving forward, through open innovation with digital healthcare companies and advanced medical AI technologies, we will present the standard model for a Real-Time Health System.”
