Seoul – July 31, 2025 –
People and Technology (CEO: Sungpyo Hong) announced on the 31st that it has been selected as the implementing organization for the “High-Precision Indoor Worker/Asset Tracking System for Industrial Sites” project promoted by the Korea Electronics Technology Institute.
The core of this project is to collect and analyze real-time, high-precision location data of assets and workers in manufacturing processes, and to visualize dwell time and status information by production line. This will support improved production efficiency and real-time cost visibility.
People and Technology will build an integrated system that applies Angle of Arrival (AoA)-based indoor positioning technology, including:
-
High-precision positioning tags and scanners
-
RTLS operating servers and software (IndoorPlus)
-
All necessary network equipment

The AoA method offers higher precision than the conventional RSSI method, providing location data detailed enough to distinguish specific zones within a manufacturing line.
The system will accurately record dwell times for production lines based on the movement history of assets, work-in-progress items, and vehicles. The measured location and status information will be provided in an API format that can be linked with external systems. In particular, tags with built-in IMU sensors will automatically adjust the signal transmission cycle, thereby enhancing battery efficiency.
A People and Technology representative stated, “This indoor positioning system is a core technology that enables real-time data-based production management and efficient resource allocation in manufacturing sites,” adding, “Based on our accumulated RTLS expertise and experience in building diverse industrial site solutions, we plan to successfully carry out this project.”
