People&Technology (PNT), a specialist provider of AI/DX-based smart hospital service platforms, announced that through a strategic partnership with Dong-A ST, it has deployed a real-time patient monitoring solution at Wills Memorial Hospital (Hospital Director Chun-geun Park) in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. Wills Memorial Hospital, a specialty general hospital focused on spinal conditions, has now equipped a total of seven wards — Wards 31, 33, 41, 43, 51, 61, and 63 — with smart hospital infrastructure through this deployment.
The deployed solution consists of the patch-type wearable ECG device "HiCardi" and the "V3 Gateway," which receives Bluetooth signals and relays the data to the server. When patients wear HiCardi, key vital sign data — including ECG and heart rate — is collected in real time and transmitted via the V3 Gateway to People&Technology's smart hospital platform, "IndoorPlus+ SmartCare," for integrated management. When abnormal signs occur, immediate alerts are sent to medical staff, enabling a rapid response.
People&Technology's real-time patient monitoring solution stands out in particular for three reasons: its plug-in gateway structure allows for fast, simple installation without any changes to existing hospital infrastructure; it enables integrated monitoring not only of patients' vital sign data but also of their location and movement within the ward; and its platform-centric architecture makes it easy to expand with additional devices and systems. Together, these features allow medical staff to track patient condition, location, and movement simultaneously — improving both ward operational efficiency and patient safety.
With this deployment, Wills Memorial Hospital can now track patients' vital sign data in real time, 24 hours a day, across all seven wards, giving medical staff an environment where they can focus more closely on patient care. Given that monitoring patient condition before and after surgery is especially critical at a spine specialty hospital, this solution is expected to make a substantial contribution to strengthening patient safety and improving the quality of care.
