People and Technology has won a contract to deploy a worker safety and monitoring system at the manufacturing facilities of Korea Functional Corporation (HKC).

 

The project aims to establish an integrated safety monitoring environment that enables systematic verification of on-site personnel safety and coordinated evacuation response in preparation for potential accidents and emergency situations in manufacturing environments.

 

 

 

 

Korea Functional Corporation is a manufacturing company specializing in automotive components such as seat belts and airbags. Its facilities operate production processes—including pressing, heat treatment, and assembly—that involve a large number of workers simultaneously.

 

Due to high workforce density and complex production processes, manufacturing sites like these face challenges in accurately identifying personnel and managing responses in the event of an accident. As a result, the need for an effective, on-site–focused safety management system has been consistently emphasized.

 

The worker safety monitoring system being deployed will utilize People & Technology’s smart safety solution, IndoorPlus+ SmartSafe.

 

IndoorPlus+ SmartSafe is a manufacturing-focused safety monitoring solution that integrates personnel safety verification, emergency evacuation alerts, and real-time evacuation progress monitoring into a single unified system.
