People and Technology, a smart hospital solution provider, announced the introduction of a Smart ID Card system at Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital, led by Hospital Director Ryu Young-Wook.
This project goes beyond a simple replacement of electronic nameplates. Its core focus is to establish a foundational infrastructure for improving ward operational efficiency and patient information management through direct integration with the hospital’s information systems.

The primary objective is to build an automated data synchronization system that updates key information such as admissions and discharges, room transfers, and basic patient details, in real time. By doing so, the hospital expects to improve both the accuracy and speed of information delivery at the bed level, while streamlining overall ward workflows.
The Smart ID Card system deployed at Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital provides a range of functions, including automatic synchronization of patient data, visual display of high-risk patient information (such as fall risk and isolation status), and device-based data transmission.
Designed as a core infrastructure with future expandability, the system is capable of integration with IoMT and RTLS technologies and is expected to serve as a long-term foundation for smart hospital development.
Ryu Young-Wook, Director of Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital, stated:
“The Smart ID Card system is the first step toward digital transformation (DX) in ward operations. With real-time automatic updates of patient information, medical staff efficiency will improve, and patient safety management will be further strengthened.”
Hong Sung-pyo, CEO of People & Technology, commented:
“The Smart ID Card system serves as a foundational smart hospital infrastructure, starting with accurate bed-level information management and expandable to real-time monitoring and location tracking. By actively reflecting on-site feedback from Dongsan Hospital, we will provide an optimized service and progressively support real-time patient monitoring and RTLS adoption to drive data-driven hospital operations.”
Building on this deployment, People & Technology plans to use the Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital project as a key reference point to expand smart hospital solutions across other hospitals within the Keimyung University medical network.
