In early October, People and Technology (PnT) had the pleasure of hosting Mohamed from Qmam Shar, a key partner from Saudi Arabia, at our headquarters in South Korea. This visit was an invaluable opportunity to strengthen our strategic alignment and showcase our latest advancements in healthcare technology. Together, we explored the full capabilities of our IndoorPlus+ solutions, reviewed ongoing projects, and discussed how our technology can create impactful value in healthcare environments worldwide. Mohamed’s hands-on experience with our innovations underscored our shared commitment to transforming healthcare through practical, real-time solutions.
A Comprehensive Showcase at Kangdong Hospital
Mohamed’s visit began with a stop at Kangdong Hospital, where he experienced our solutions firsthand in a clinical setting. Our team provided a comprehensive demonstration of the IndoorPlus+ platform, highlighting its key functionalities, including asset tracking and management, cold chain monitoring, and tools for streamlining processes like equipment rental management and medical waste tracking.
During the tour, Mohamed observed several advanced features in action. For example, real-time exit notifications ensured that assets stayed within designated zones, while the accuracy of location tracking for mobile assets and stationary sensors in refrigerated units impressed him. These demonstrations illustrated how our adaptable solutions integrate seamlessly with each hospital’s unique needs, creating a fully integrated and effective system.
Feedback from Kangdong’s hospital staff further emphasized the value of IndoorPlus+. Nurses highlighted how the technology reduces stress and saves valuable time, allowing them to focus on patient care. One nurse remarked:
"In the past, we spent so much time checking asset availability at the beginning of our shifts, which was stressful and took time away from patient care. Now it’s done in a few clicks, saving time and reducing stress."
This feedback resonated deeply, affirming the essential role our solutions play in fostering efficient and supportive work environments for healthcare professionals.
Advanced Capabilities Demonstrated at Ilsan Hospital
The second stop was Ilsan Hospital, where the IndoorPlus+ platform has been deployed in the cardiology department and beyond. Here, Mohamed explored features tailored to this facility, including device monitoring for critical medical equipment such as blood pressure monitors, IV pumps, and scales.
One standout feature, the nurse alarm system, caught Mohamed’s attention. This system sends urgent alerts to nurses via smartwatches, ensuring quick response times and bolstering patient safety. Mohamed praised this innovation for its contribution to real-time decision-making and improved patient outcomes.
During a tour of the cardiology department, Mohamed saw nurse stations equipped with comprehensive dashboards displaying live asset locations, cold chain statuses, and patient monitoring metrics in a unified view. Large screens in hallways and stations allowed nurses to stay updated on key data while moving throughout the ward.
Ilsan Hospital, where IndoorPlus+ has been operational since 2020, stands as a prime example of how our platform integrates smoothly into clinical workflows. Staff shared insights into their experience, noting that while the initial implementation required an adjustment period, the system quickly became indispensable as workload pressures increased. Today, the solutions are integral to daily operations, ensuring optimal resource utilization and improving the overall quality of care.
A Lasting Partnership and Exciting Prospects
Mohamed’s visit underscored the value of direct engagement and collaboration. Experiencing our technology in live hospital environments gave him a clear understanding of its strengths and its positive impact on healthcare professionals. The visit also served as a platform to discuss future plans and explore new avenues for collaboration, with a shared vision of expanding these solutions globally.
This visit not only solidified our partnership with Qmam Shar but also reaffirmed our mutual commitment to driving healthcare innovation. We are excited to continue working with Mohamed and other partners to bring People and Technology’s solutions to more healthcare environments worldwide. Together, we’re making a tangible difference in healthcare—one deployment at a time.
