Enterprise AI services company People and Technology Co., Ltd. (CEO: Hong Seong-pyo, Lim Jin-soon) has successfully secured a contract to establish a Swimming Pool Safety Management System at the Government Complex Sejong Sports Complex.
The company will use its IoT-based solution, IndoorPlus+, which is equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) indoor positioning and abnormal behavior detection functions, to create a comprehensive safety management system. The system will monitor the real-time location of swimming pool users, detect lingering individuals after operating hours, alert for people leaving the viewing area, and send warnings in case of abnormal signs (e.g., long periods of inactivity).
The project will divide the pool area into 10 zones, using BLE signal analysis to monitor the number of people and their movements in real-time, preventing potential accidents and enabling rapid responses in emergency situations.
Users, particularly children, will be provided with wristband tags. The data generated by the devices will be collected and processed, allowing the system to track the position of objects and individuals based on BLE tags. The location data will be visualized on maps or graphs to track individuals’ movements and activities in real time. If a person leaves a designated area or experiences rapid location changes, the system will send real-time alerts, enabling immediate confirmation and action.
A representative from People and Technology stated, "The Swimming Pool Safety Management System for the Government Complex Sejong Sports Complex is designed to ensure the safety of the facility, which serves over 400 users daily. Swimming pools, due to residual water, present multiple risks, including slips, drowning, and heart attacks, which require heightened attention. Given the higher risk of accidents among children, the system will initially focus on them."
The representative also added, "Through the successful implementation of this project, we plan to expand the scope of IndoorPlus+ to other facilities in the future."
