AX platform specialist People and Technology Co., Ltd. (CEO Hong Sung-pyo) announced that its on-device AI-powered multi-purpose road surveillance CCTV solution, VisionPlus+ PNH-A9001, has been officially designated as an Excellent Procurement Product by the Public Procurement Service (PPS) in the first round of certifications for 2026.
On the 28th, the PPS held a certification ceremony at the Government Complex Daejeon, where 51 products were selected as Excellent Procurement Products out of 281 applicants through evaluations conducted by external experts. This year's selected products included various innovative safety technologies such as AI-powered abnormality prediction switchboards and deep learning-based fire detection systems. People and Technology's PNH-A9001 was among the products recognized.
The newly designated PNH-A9001 features an SoC equipped with an integrated NPU (Neural Processing Unit), enabling the camera itself to perform deep learning-based video analytics without the need for a separate high-cost AI analysis server. A single device can simultaneously provide various AI analytics functions including license plate recognition, speed measurement, wrong-way driving detection, turning detection, vehicle classification, and traffic volume analysis. The solution generates analysis results as real-time events that can be immediately integrated with VMS platforms and existing control systems, transforming surveillance footage into actionable operational data rather than simple video storage. It also supports specific vehicle search and movement tracking, significantly reducing the burden of continuous monitoring on control center personnel.
Built on a 4K (8MP) high-resolution platform, the solution delivers stable recognition of license plates and vehicle attributes even in multi-lane environments. Core performance functions—including license plate recognition, speed measurement, driving direction detection, and illegal parking detection—have been fully verified in both daytime and nighttime conditions. The product also holds two registered patents: a multi-lane license plate recognition system (Patent No. 10-2734978) and a video-based speed calculation system (Patent No. 10-2717557). In addition, the embedded software, VisionPlus+ AI Video Analytics Application, has obtained GS Grade 1 software quality certification from the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA), as well as IP camera security performance certification for public institutions, satisfying various public procurement requirements. These extensive certifications covering both hardware performance and software quality are believed to have been highly regarded during the Excellent Procurement Product evaluation process.
This designation carries significance beyond a standard MAS registration. While MAS registration mainly grants products market entry eligibility, Excellent Procurement Product certification represents a much stricter evaluation process in which only 51 out of 281 applicants were selected. The certification serves as a government-backed validation of a product's technology, performance, economic value, and suitability for the public sector. In addition to simplifying procurement procedures through private contract eligibility, the certification also provides public institutions with confidence to adopt trusted products without conducting separate technical reviews, which is expected to substantially expand market demand.
