People and Technology (CEO: Hong Seong-pyo), a leading smart hospital platform company, has been selected as the lead organization for the AI development and validation project under the Infectious Disease Response division of the 2025 Public AX Project, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

Under this project, People and Technology will develop an AI solution that converts the entire infectious disease response workflow of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) into an AI-based “learning and decision-making structure” by the end of 2026. In particular, Dearsoft, which has extensive experience in digitalizing epidemiological investigation systems, will participate as a partner organization to further enhance the completeness of the project.
The project aims to use AI to address the inefficiencies and low productivity in disease control operations that were exposed during the pandemic. To this end, it will implement functions such as:
-
AI-based automatic generation of reports
-
High-intensity AI analysis of epidemiological investigation data
-
An AI disease control assistant that provides the latest guidelines and response procedures
By applying these AI-based capabilities across the entire infectious disease response process, the project will develop and validate a “Smart Infectious Disease Response AX Integrated System” designed to improve the work efficiency of disease control officials and enhance public health and safety.
Another key task is to build a stable data pipeline for AI training by linking with the recently established KDCA Integrated Disease Control Information Management System.
The project goes beyond simple system development and will proceed in phases of “AI development → pilot application → scaling to operation.” Through real-world validation, it aims to establish a practical AI response framework that can be immediately used in the field.
During the build-out, the consortium will secure core AI technologies such as:
-
Fine-tuning of foundation models specialized for infectious diseases, and
-
RAG-based knowledge Q&A technology that can respond instantly to newly emerging information
In parallel, they plan to develop practical application services, including an AI-based automatic report generation service.
Having led the smart hospital market with its IndoorPlus SmartCare technology, People and Technology plans to use this Public AX transformation project as a springboard to further expand its role in AI transformation (AX) projects for public-sector institutions.
