Seoul – November 17, 2025 –
Kukje Naeun Hospital is introducing a real-time patient monitoring system. On the 17th, People and Technology (CEO Seongpyo Hong) announced that it will supply a real-time patient monitoring system to Kukje Naeun Hospital as part of the hospital’s ongoing smart-hospital transformation initiative.

The monitoring system will be deployed in two inpatient wards and the dialysis unit. Using the wearable ECG device “HiCardi” and the “Nonin” pulse oximetry device worn by patients, the hospital will collect key vital signs in real time, including ECG, heart rate, and oxygen saturation.
The collected data will be linked to a central monitoring system through People and Technology’s smart hospital platform, “IndoorPlus+ SmartCare,” allowing staff to check each patient’s status by bed in real time. When any abnormal signs are detected, alerts are immediately sent to clinical staff, enabling faster response.
People and Technology explained, “With the real-time patient monitoring solution, medical staff can simultaneously track a patient’s condition, location, and movement, improving both ward operational efficiency and patient safety.”
Key system features include:
A plug-in gateway architecture that allows fast, simple installation without changes to the hospital’s existing infrastructure
Integrated monitoring of not only patients’ vital signs but also their real-time location and movement within the ward
A platform-centric structure that makes it easy to extend to various devices and systems
The hospital expects that, through this system, it will be able to detect and respond in real time to dangerous situations such as cardiac arrest, arrhythmia, and blood pressure changes in dialysis patients at an early stage. Nursing staff will be able to reduce the burden of manual charting and repeated rounds, and instead focus more on core clinical tasks such as emergency response and patient management.
A hospital representative said, “Given that many of our patients are elderly or undergoing dialysis, being able to quickly detect changes in their condition is more important than anything else. This system will provide tangible benefits both for improving patient safety and for enhancing staff workflow efficiency.”
Seongpyo Hong, CEO of People and Technology, commented, “IndoorPlus+ SmartCare is a smart platform that connects data collected at the patient’s side to clinical decision-making across the entire hospital.”
He added, “The introduction of this platform at Kukje Naeun Hospital will serve as a strong example of how a real-time monitoring platform can be practically applied in a hospital setting. We will continue to accelerate the transition to smart healthcare in many more hospitals.”
